Supervision ensures each child?s safety, well-being, including physical proximity and auditory or visual awareness of each child?s on going activity
During the investigation, it was found that 2 children were sitting in highchairs next to each other. One child (girl) was able to pull another child(boy) toward her while both children were in highchairs. The child (girl) was able to bit the other child (boy) multiple times. No caregivers were physically in the proximity to see or hear the dragging of a highchair or see the biting incident in a timely manner to prevent it or stop multiple bits. As a result, the child sustained 3-5 bits that left a mark from the wrist to the shoulder area. The child did not require any medical attention or visit a hospital (ER).
