Child/ Caregiver Ratio - 13 or More Children

At the time I arrived at the inspection, both infant rooms were out of ratio. The young infant room had 6 children and one caregiver. A second operation staff arrived, and went into the room, putting that room in compliance. The second room out of ratio was the 12-18 month old room. There were 8 children in the room. The ratio for this age group with one caregiver is 5 children.

AP Ensure total number of children both at & away from center within capacity

The facility was over capacity in the infant room and in the whole facility. The operation is licensed for 11 infant age children and there were 14 children under the age of 18 months. The capacity for the facility is 39 children and there were 40 children in care at the time of the inspection.

      Adequate Lighting During Naptime

The front door opens to the 2yr old room. When I arrived and the door was shut, it was very dark and the children could not be seen in the room.
