A person without an approved background check was found to be serving in a classroom as a caregiver to children. This person had an approved background check with Memphis ISD but did not have one through licensing. This was corrected at inspection when the individual left the head start classroom and will not return to serve as a caregiver in a classroom until an approved background check is received.

Personnel records were not complete. Copies of training certificates were missing that were recently completed/turned in during the change of directors. The principal called the new director by phone (who was out sick) and they have plans to correct these files within the next two weeks.
