      Safety - Areas Free From Hazards

      The pad under one of the swings on the large playground did was damaged and needs to be repaired. The window sill in one of the classrooms had pealing paint that was in the reach of the children. The toilet on the playground did not have a lid on the back of the tank. All of these items were addressed with the operation.

      This standard was reviewed in relation to the DFPS investigation and was found to be deficient. The employee did not use a positive method of guidance when the child was pulled by the arm to move the child to the desired location by the caregiver. The caregiver is no longer employed at the operation.
