A carregiver did not use positive statements in the redirection of a child. The caregiver responded to a crying child who was being disciplined by telling him she was "glad that he was crying". This was corrected at inspection when the person in charge reprimanded the caregiver. The caregiver was sent home due to an inactive background status.
