Alternate Activity for Non-sleeping Children
Two children ages 16 and 17 months were observed sitting in high chairs without an activity. One caregiver was observed patting a child to sleep while the other was observed playing with two infants that were awake in a center. When brought to the attention of the director, the children were taken out of the high chairs and given an activity.
